Dog Friendly Restaurants in Columbus

Columbus is a city catering to pets of all personas. Sophisticated pets sit with their owners in Schiller Park, enjoying the seasonal Shakespeare in the Park shows. Athletic pets can run around at Godown Park. Adventurous pets can walk side-by-side with their owners on the Hocking Hills State Park trails. And pets that like to party will stay entertained at the local pet-friendly breweries.

Regardless of which activities you line up for you and your pet, don’t forget to fit in meal time. Columbus has several pet-friendly restaurants, and these are some of our favorites!

Los Agaves Taqueria

Tasting the tacos at Los Agaves Taqueria feels like a rite of passage to say you’ve experienced one of the best dog-friendly restaurants in Columbus. Not only will you have delicious food from the popular food truck, but you’ll also get to cherish the moment with your pet by your side. So, plop a squat on the dining stool and dig in!

Los Agaves Taqueria’s bright orange food truck stands out so much that even dogs (who are color blind) can spot it! And if the paint job doesn’t do the trick, the aroma of sizzling Mexican food flooding the parking lot will indeed direct you towards the line.

Open till 8 PM every night except Sundays, any time is great to stop by with your pet. The Happy Agave Burrito will bring a smile to your face with each bite stuffed with marinated pastor meat, fresh tomatoes, and rice. Pair the birria tacos with a side of consumé for a typical Mexican meal. Hungry pet owners will be plenty satisfied after attempting to finish a plate of Alambre.

You can always tell good barbecue by how it’s served. Smoked on High BBQ keeps to the traditions with trays and thin paper made see-through by the juicy meat and sides topping it. The district taste from the restaurant is thanks to using oak and hickory wood while smoking the meats for a hint of flavor.

The thick slices of brisket served alone or on a sandwich so tender that you’ll barely need your canine teeth to rip apart.
