Athena brought over a menu full of recipes when relocating to the US from the Philippines. Now, she shares flavors from her homeland at her restaurant, Athena’s Filipino & American Cuisine. Athena’s has been around since 2015, but it has a new location near all the action!

The outdoor patio at Athena’s has an excellent view of the Family Kingdom Amusement Park located nearby on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Pets can hang out on this deck space as long as the screams from the iconic Swamp Fox roller coaster won’t disturb them too much.

Athena makes sure her guests leave with full stomachs and a smile on their faces. Noodles pile high on your plate for the pancit bihon, a traditional Filipino dish. The lumpia, a small, crispy egg roll with meat and vegetables inside, goes great with every meal. Palabok is another noodle dish using an original recipe that tastes just like you’d get in Manila.

Wash your meal down with a stocky bottle of San Miguel Pale Pilsen, an imported Filipino beer.
